Sheriff who turned in Charlie Kirk's killer Tyler Robinson resigns. 'Total coincidence' amid bullet mismatch?

Bullet Mystery DEEPENS In Charlie Kirk Case As Tyler Robinson Defense Drops SHOCK Claim

Sheriff who turned in Charlie Kirk's alleged killer Tyler Robinson resigned abruptly.

The sheriff who led to the arrest of Tyler Robinson in the assassination of Charlie Kirk resigned all of a sudden and announced his retirement. Sheriff Nate Brooksby, according to reports, announced his resignation Friday following undisclosed complaints to Utah's Washington County from individuals who were concerned with the operations at the sheriff's office. His resignation puts the complaint issue to rest as the complainant does not want to pursue it, they said, triggering intense speculations on social media on what might have happened. The speculations grew louder after new legal documents claimed that the bullet that was used to kill Charlie Kirk did not match the rifle that was found from Tyler Robinson.

Conspiracy theories that Tyler Robinson was not the actual killer and he was just made a scapegoat of the situation, started thriving once again, and now they are tied to Brooksby's resignation, as Brooksby helped Tyler Robinson turn himself in.

Who is Brooksby? What is his connection with Tyler Robinson?

Brooksby, a lifetime resident of Utah's Washington County, worked at the Washington County Sheriff's Office for 27 years of his career, according to his campaign website. A member of the Republican Party since the age of 18, he was elected to fill the remainder of Sheriff Cory Pulsipher's third term in November 2021 and was sworn in the following month. After Charlie Kirk was shot dead at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025, at a Turning Point USA event, Brooksby said he received a phone call from a retired deputy saying he knew who had killed Kirk.
Robinson's family had reached out to the retired deputy, whom they knew through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and asked him to help negotiate a peaceful surrender for Robinson."Part of the negotiation of getting him to bring himself in was that, that we would treat it as delicate and as soft as possible to make him feel comfortable to where he would show up at my office," Brooksby said after Robinson turned himself in and was arrested."The ATF could not match the bullet to Tyler Robinson’s gun and when the news breaks the sheriff resigns," former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene posted. "Where are all my neocons who have been “overwhelmed” by the non existent evidence against Tyler Robinson? You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Hope the money was worth your soul," Candace Owens who has been consistently claiming that Tyler Robinson was a coverup doubled down after the bullet finding.
