LPG Price Hike: Domestic Cooking Gas Rates Raised By Rs 29 In India, Second Hike In 3 Months
Domestic LPG prices have been increased by Rs 29 per 14.2 kg cylinder, marking the second hike in the last three months. With the latest revision, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi has gone up to Rs 942 from Rs 913. The revised rates came into effect on June 7, according to PTI, citing industry sources. The hike comes amid pressure on global oil and gas supplies due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia. The increase will apply nationwide, though final retail prices will vary across cities due to local taxes and transport costs. This follows a Rs 60 hike in March. Petrol and diesel prices have also risen in recent months, while CNG rates have increased as well. Despite hikes, oil companies continue to report losses on fuel sales.
