TMC Workers Clash With Humayun Kabir In Murshidabad During Poll Movement

During the hearing, the court orally flagged an alleged discrepancy exceeding ₹100 crore in his affidavits and termed it a serious irregularity. Notices were issued to Vijay, the Income Tax Department, the Election Commission of India, and concerned returning officers. The petitioner has claimed inconsistencies between affidavits filed in different constituencies, raising concerns over possible suppression of assets. The plea seeks a detailed investigation, noting that any proven false declaration could attract legal consequences, including penalties or disqualification.
