National Award winner Kriti Sanon is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood, and enjoys a huge fan base. A far cry from done to death roles, Kriti has dabbled in genres ranging from fantasy, action, drama, romance and comedy. The 33-year-old, who staunchly stays away from controversies, lets her work do the talking. Today marks a big day for the actress, as her movie Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has hit theatres, co-starring Shahid Kapoor. "Heropanti" marked Kriti Sanon's debut in Hindi cinema after starting her acting career with the Telugu film "1: Nenokkadine." The romantic action movie also featured Tiger Shroff in his debut. It is a remake of the Telugu film "Parugu" and follows the story of two young lovers facing societal challenges. The movie is remembered for its young love story and Kriti's dynamic screen presence.

In "Luka Chuppi" released in 2019, small town dwellers Guddu Shukla and Rashmi Trivedi Shukla fall in love during a business trip to Gwalior. They decide to try living together before marriage, however, their life turns chaotic when their families assume that they have eloped and gotten married. After initial trepidation, Rashmi is welcomed into Guddu's family with much love, even as the young lovers try to get married on the sly, but fail each time! Co-starring Kartik Aaryan.

In the 2021 film "Mimi," Kriti Sanon portrays Mimi Rathore, an aspiring Bollywood actress. To finance her dreams, Mimi agrees to become a surrogate mother for a foreign couple. However, when the couple betrays her and leaves her alone, Mimi decides to raise the child herself and gives up on her Bollywood ambitions, even as the couple returns after a few years to claim the child! Probably one of the best performances of Kriti, this one won her the National Award for best actor (female), an honour she shared with Alia Bhatt for Gangubai Kathiawadi.

"Bhediya," released in 2022, tells the story of a man named Bhaskar Sharma (played by Varun Dhawan) who transforms into a Bhediya after being bitten by a wolf. Set in the forests of Arunachal Pradesh, the movie highlights the issue of deforestation, where trees are cut down to make way for urban development. Amidst hilarious twists and turns, Bhaskar Sharma embarks on a journey to understand the reasons behind his transformation, as a vet (Kriti), helps him. However, there is more to the pretty vet than what meets the eye.

After reading a book that changes her life, Bitti is intent on meeting the author. Her quest takes her to a publisher, Chirag, who leads her to believe that the writer is Pritam Vidrohi. As Pritam pretends to be Chirag (the actual author), a hilarious case of mistaken identities ensues, as Bitti finds herself being drawn to the real Chirag, even as the reticent Pritam Vidrohi intermittently tries to tell her the truth. A delectable piece of cinema, this one is funny, quirky and full paisa vasool! Co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao.
