‘Campus Diaries’ fame Abhinav Sharma shares that Shah Rukh Khan inspired him to be an actor; says,“I used to wonder how magical he is” - Exclusive
Abhinav Sharma who has formed his own fan base with his web series, in an exclusive interaction with ETimes revealed the actor who inspired him to join the creative field. He shared with us, how growing up he was in complete awe of Shah Rukh Khan’s work.
He said, “I still remember when I was growing up I used to be enamored by him (Shah Rukh Khan), still am. I used to wonder how magical he is, I’ve grown up seeing his impact on those around me and it’s so clear and obvious that he’s given so much of himself to his craft and to the people.”
“And that’s why we do what we do, he’s the epitome of what it is to be an actor that gives it his all, and everything else just comes with time, patience, and hard work,” he added.
Further, in the conversation, we also asked Abhinav about the algorithm he applies while choosing his projects. He replied, “I think going with the flow and giving it my best. As clichéd as it may sound. Having said that of course I’m always trying to find and test for things that help me better my craft, that speak about something important, and where the narrative guides the audience to think about the subject in question. I think it’s a responsibility that we share as artists that we must speak about society and its contemporary setup as much as we can through our work.”
“My teachers at drama school would always tell us that there is no right or wrong in art and always trust your talent, there’s some magic about that intuitive honesty that comes into play when you perform. Respect it,” concluded the actor.
