Munich Airport was closed on Saturday after a pilot reported a drone sighting, forcing suspension of all flights, a spokesperson for the Federal Police told FOCUS online.
Both runways were closed while the situation was being assessed as per police reports.
"A pilot reported suspicious activity," the spokesperson said.
A passenger reported to FOCUS online that an announcement was made shortly before takeoff that the airport would remain closed until "at least 10 am."
Helicopters were deployed to search for the drone but after nothing was found, closure was lifted and air traffic resumed.
