Jayalalithaa’s health: KSRTC suspends bus services in Tamil Nadu

Karnataka Road Transport Corporation suspended its services to Tamil Nadu after a few miscreants pelted stones at one of its buses in Tiruvannamalai on Monday morning. The attack happened after chief minister J Jayalalithaa, who is undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospitals, suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening.

SALEM/COIMBATORE: Karnataka Road Transport Corporation suspended its services to Tamil Nadu after some miscreants pelted stones at three of its buses in Tiruvannamalai district on Monday morning. The attack happened after chief minister J Jayalalithaa, who is undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospitals, suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening.
All Tamil Nadu-bound KSRTC buses were halted on the inter-state boarder.

Similarly Karnataka-bound KSRTC buses from Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, Erode, Vellore nd other places of Tamil Nadu were not running.
"After the stone pelting incident, they have stopped their bus operations in Tamil Nadu fearing more such incidents," said an official of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation attached to Krishnagiri division.
However, Tamil Nadu transport corporations – TNSTC and SETC -- were operating their services to Karnataka.
Meanwhile, only eight of around 30 buses operated by Kerala State Road Transport Corporation arrived in Coimbatore on Monday morning.
