
Tata Motors today launched the Nexon facelift and Nexon.EV in the Indian market. Let's take a close look at what all the 2023 Tata Nexon facelift and Nexon.ev offers.

Similar to the Curvv and Harrier EV concepts, the Tata Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts come equipped with a split-headlamp setup on the bumper, LED DRLs and a sleeker-looking upper grille at the front. The side profile is flanked by 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, both cars are equipped with a full-width LED light bar connecting the LED tail-lamps.

The Nexon facelift is available in four variants - Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless, with prices starting at Rs 8.10 lakh, Rs 9.70 lakh, Rs 11 lakh and Rs 12.50 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom), respectively.

The interior of the Tata Nexon facelift and Nexon.ev is quite similar to the Curvv concept. Featuring a carbon-fibre finish and leather inserts on the dashboard, the 2023 Tata Nexon now gets a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Other impressive features include ventilated front seats, a voice-assisted sunroof, air purifier, wireless charger and a 360-degree camera.

The Tata Nexon EV facelift is offered in three variants - Creative+, Fearless and Empowered. The Creative+ variant price starts from Rs 14.74 lakh, the Fearless trim is priced at Rs 16.19 lakh, and the Empowered variant price starts from Rs 17.84 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

At its heart, the Tata Nexon facelift uses a 120hp, 170Nm, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, and a 115hp, 260Nm, 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both engines are paired with a six-speed manual and a six-speed AMT, however the petrol engine also gets an option of a five-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (with paddle shifters) as per the variant.

The Tata Nexon.ev is available in two variants - Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR). The MR gets a 30 kWh battery, offering a 325 km ARAI-certified range, producing a power of 127 hp and torque of 215 Nm. Tata Nexon.ev MR can go from 0-100 kmph in 9.2 seconds. On the other hand, the LR version is equipped with a 40.5 kWh battery with 465 km ARAI-certified range, generating 143 hp power. The LR variant can go from 0-100 kmph in 8.9 seconds.
