Ahmedabad: AMC clears encroachments to widen roads in Chandkheda, Ranip
Ahmedabad: On Saturday, the West Zone estate department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) carried out operations to open roads in the Chandkheda area. This included demolishing two residential buildings, three commercial units, and one religious structure along the key stretch from Visat Circle to Zundal in Chandkheda. Additionally, steps were taken to clear encroachments on the IOC Road from Valinath Chowk in Chandkheda.
Further, work was undertaken to open the 18m-wide TP road from Valinath Chowk to the railway line under TP Scheme No. 20 in Chandkheda. This involved demolishing encroached construction of IP Mission School, leading to the opening of a 75m-wide road. In the Ranip area, encroachments were removed along the road from Balolnagar Bridge to Pramukh Bungalow, covering the stretch from SV Square Complex to Sardar Chowk. Encroachments were also cleared from various roads in Nava Vadaj, Naranpura and Paldi areas.
