Notorious goon nabbed for fifth time

Ahmedabad: Vijay Rajkumar Uttamchandani, 31, a resident of Naroda, son of a cloth trader and a commerce graduate from Gujarat University. However, the resume is incomplete without more than 100 registered complaints and seven arrests. Vijay, who is better known as Viju Body,was nabbed by Sardarnagar police station officials on Saturday for the fifth time and sent under PASA to Morbi jail.
According to Sardarnagar police station officials, the criminal involved in extortion, protection money, recovery, armed assault, bootlegging, land grabbing, beating police officials and loot was caught when he was threatening a trader from Kubernagar on Saturday morning.
"Viju has three offences registered this year with our jurisdiction. On Saturday, we registered fourth offence for extortion. Earlier, he had threatened to kill one trader, was found with illegal weapon and had assaulted a man to grab his house. He will be booked under PASA as we already have got warrant. He will soon be sent to Morbi jail," said AS Rathod, inspector of Sardarnagar police station.
Vijay got his nickname due to his gym-trained body and his fearless attitude. A lovelorn youth, this graduate turned to crime after his girlfriend's father, a known industrialist, did not approve of his relation with his daughter.
