Andhra Pradesh: Chilamathur SI transferred to vacancy reserve following assault on a complainant

TIRUPATI: Chilamathur sub-inspector Rangadu Yadav was transferred to the vacancy reserve after an enquiry ordered against him proved him guilty in the assault case against a complainant.
It may be recalled that Sri Sathya Sai Balaji district Rahul Dev Singh IPS ordered an enquiry against the Chilamathur SI after a video of the SI assaulting a complainant identified as Vinod went viral on the social media a couple of days ago.
Penukonda DSP N Ramya conducted the enquiry and submitted her report to the higher authorities, prompting them to take disciplinary action against the SI against which the charges of assault against a complainant who came to the police station to lodge a complaint was proved to be true.
Anantapur range DIG M Ravi Prakash sent out a clear word of caution to not harass the complainants and the common public coming to the police stations with their grievances.
