Murder case: HC reserves judgment on petition filed by AP deputy CM’s son
HYDERABAD: Justice Shameem Akther of the Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday reserved the judgment in a petition filed by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishna Murthy’s son K E Syam Babu seeking to quash the ongoing proceedings against him in a murder case before a trial court in Kurnool.
K E Syam Babu is made an accused in the murder case of YSR Congress leader Lakshminaranaya Reddy of Veldurthi mandal.

Aggrieved by the deletion of K E Syam Babu’s name from the chargesheet, Lakshminaranaya Reddy’s wife, Sridevi, had filed a private complaint before a court in Dhone town of Kurnool district.
The trial court found substance in Sridevi’s allegations that the police was unduly influenced by the power of K E Syam Babu’s family and hence his name was removed from the chargesheet filed in the case The trial court had issued a non-bailable warrant against K E Syam Babu. He approached the High Court seeking to quash the case against him. Justice Shameem Akther has called for records and reserved the judgement.
