Tragic drowning incident claims lives of 3 tribal youth in Eluru

In a tragic accident that took place in Eluru district on Thursday, three tribal youth were drowned in a Pogondi reservoir, At around 4:00 PM, Made Devendra Kumar (18), Tellam Seetharamaraju(30) and Tellam Kishore (26) along with two others natives of China Ravvavarigudem village, Buttaigudem Mandal went to Pogondi Reservoir for bathing. During the activity, they accidentally drowned and were subsequently declared deceased. The dead bodies have been shifted to GGH Jangareddigudem for post-mortem examination. They usually go to the reservoir for bathing every day. But, the water flow is very high due to heavy rains in the catchment area. They were unable to gauge the quagmire in the reservoir and were drowned. Luckily, two persons were survived. The police have booked a cse and are investigating the case. AP Information and Public Relations minister Kolusu Parthasaradhi expressed deep shock over the tragedy.
