Woman sets ex-husband ablaze in Andhra Pradesh

TIRUPATI: A woman allegedly set her ex-husband ablaze at Madanapalle rural mandal in Annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh late on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Bawaji (33), a resident of Ramarao locality at Madanapalle.
According to the local police, Bawaji married Yasmin a few years ago and the couple gave birth to three children.
Disturbances in the family led to the separation of the couple about 10 days ago.
On Thursday night, when Bawaji came to visit his children who were living with their mother, Yasmin entered into a heated altercation with Bawaji.
In a fit of rage, Yasmin poured petrol on her ex-husband and set him ablaze and her other family members allegedly supported her.
Locals who heard Bawaji's cries for help, got there and shifted him to the government general hospital at Madanapalle. Doctors said Bawaji sustained 90% burns and that his condition was critical.
Madanapalle rural police registered a case and took the accused woman in custody for questioning.
