Chhatrapati Sambhajingar: Unidentified people broke into a zilla parishad school at Sevli village in Jalna district and vandalised important school records and property, triggering panic among the school administration.The incident took place between Tuesday night and the early hours of Wednesday, according to information received. The unidentified vandals allegedly entered the school premises by breaking the iron grills of a window of the eastern room of the school office.After entering the premises, they ransacked the office and damaged crucial govt records and other materials kept inside. The extent of the damage is still being assessed, but officials fear that the destruction of official documents could disrupt administrative and academic processes.The incident came to light on Wednesday at 8.30am when the school was opened, and the headmaster noticed the broken window and scattered documents inside the office. The matter was immediately reported, leading to concern among staff and locals.Headmaster Parameshwar Jadhav and school education committee chairman Wasim Ismail Sayyed lodged a complaint with the police to register an FIR against the unidentified miscreants.
The police began an investigation and scanned the area for clues to identify and trace those responsible. Authorities are also expected to examine whether the incident was a case of targeted vandalism or mischief.The police said the intention behind the act is still unclear. Damage to govt records could have been done for mischief or with the intention to disrupt and destroy the records.
