BCC commissioner inspects Basavanagudi park

BANGALORE: Bangalore City Corporation Commissioner Srinivas Murthy on Tuesday visited the M N Krishna Rao park in Basavanagudi following several complaints that the place had been neglected.
MLA K N Subba Reddy who accompanied Murthy around the park area said it had been badly maintained and had no facilities for visitors.
Subba Reddy said the park which earlier belonged to the horticulture department was handed over to the BCC, but no measures were taken for its upkeep.
Subba Reddy said that the commissioner has assured the residents that development work will be taken up and facilities including a track for joggers and illumination will be provided.
