After days of rain, temp in MP set to rise for next 2 days

BHOPAL: After a week of rain and thunderstorm, temperature in the state is likely to go up in the absence of any fresh systems. However, the rise in temperature would not be more than 2-3 degrees Celsius before the impact of western disturbance.
Meanwhile, in the state capital, the day as well as night temperature remained less than normal on Wednesday.
Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle said, there was a cyclonic circulation over Punjab that may lead to thunder and clouds over a few places.Largely the weather will remain clear for the next two days, which means temperature would rise for two days, but the state will again be impacted by western disturbance from June 2 onwards that will lead to showers and dip in the temperatures, the officials added.
Day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 38.8 degrees Celsius, two degrees less than normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 21.0 degrees Celsius, seven degrees less than normal mark. Wind direction in the city was north westerly while average wind speed was 16 kilometers per hour.
Khajuraho and Khandwa cities in Madhya Pradesh were the hottest on the day with day temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius.
In the forecast for Bhopal, on Thursday the meteorological officials said, there would be cloudy sky with possibility of thunder. Day and night temperature will be respectively 39 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius while average wind speed will be 16 kmph.
In its forecast for the state the meteorological official said, there would be clear skies and dry weather will prevail in the state. No weather warning was issued for anywhere in the state.
