Bhopal: Ruckus and confusion prevailed as administration undertook demolition of around three dozen properties for development of six-lane road in Kolar here on Monday.
The properties were at the tri-junction in Kolar. Demolition took place with large police presence.
The 15-km-long six-lane from Kolar to Gol Jod is being built at a total cost of Rs 222 crore.
Clearing of the road along Gol Jod will lead to the creation of half a dozen bridges and culverts.
Clearing the path from Gol Jod to Bimakunj was swift. However, residents protested removal of encroachments up to Kolar Guest House intersection. Officials said that notices were already issued a month ago.
