BHOPAL: Chief minister Mohan Yadav announced tax exemption for feature film "Tanvi The Great". Accordingly, the state government has issued orders exempting film from tax in Madhya Pradesh.Duration of film’s screening in Madhya Pradesh will be from July 25 to August 23. Under Madhya Pradesh Mall and Service Tax Act 2017, the full amount of State GST will be reimbursed, giving the audience a discount. Film is directed by famous actor Anupam Kher.

Related cinemas and multiplexes will reduce state GST amount and sell tickets of this film to audience accordingly. Amount equal to state GST payable and paid on this service will be reimbursed to service provider by the state government. No increase will be made in regular general admission fees of related cinemas and multiplexes for screening of film.Notably, "Tanvi The Great" is the story of 21-year-old Tanvi Raina, who struggles with Autism Spectrum Disorder and attempts to join the Indian Army to fulfill the dream of her martyr father. Its story and social message have received wide appreciation from audience and critics, govt stated.
