Free bus travel for NEET re-exam candidates
Bhubaneswar: The state govt has announced free bus travel for students appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) Re-examination, 2026, on June 21. Candidates will just need to produce a valid NEET (UG) Re-examination admit card.National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the retest at 134 examination centres across Odisha.The commerce and transport dept on Thursday issued directions to the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation and the State Transport Authority to facilitate the same. The decision was taken following chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s approval to help reduce the risk of heatstroke during peak summer, supporting economically weaker students, and ensuring equitable access to examination centres. The department has asked OSRTC and STA to take immediate steps for implementation of the initiative in coordination with district administrations, the Capital Region Urban Transport and the higher education department.
