Hisar: Another accused managed to escape from the Hisar district court premises on Tuesday, but was swiftly apprehended due to the alertness of an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), who was on court duty. The accused has been identified as Rahul alias Bunty, a resident of Siwani. He escaped while being brought to court for production, but was recaptured within minutes. According to police, as soon as the police team reached the court premises to produce the accused, Rahul took advantage of the moment and fled. The court police were immediately alerted.
ASI Ravindra, posted at the Balsamand police outpost and present on court duty, heard the commotion, chased the accused for nearly 200 metres, cornered him, and apprehended him. Rahul is accused in a case of house-trespass and assault on a woman on Kamary Road, Hisar. He was scheduled to appear before the court of Judicial Magistrate when the incident occurred.

This is the second incident of an accused escaping from Hisar district courts within four days. Earlier, on Friday, Vishal, a resident of Gabipur, who was being produced in a theft case, escaped in a dramatic manner by jumping from the court roof and scaling a 12-foot wall. Several police teams were deployed to trace him, and he was finally arrested on Monday by Narwana police in Jind district.
