Hisar: A 57-year-old farmer allegedly died by suicide after jumping in front of a train near Barsi village on the Hansi-Rohtak railway line.
According to police, the loco pilot informed Hansi railway station master after noticing that a person had been run over. Govt Railway Police (GRP) later took the body into custody.
The deceased, Dharambir, was a resident of Dhana Khurd village. Family members said Dharambir was engaged in farming and is survived by five daughters and a son. Police said prima facie the case appeared to be one of suicide, though further investigation was underway to ascertain all circumstances surrounding the incident.
