Amritsar: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) govt, criticising its unfulfilled promises to women, law-and-order failures, and the state's healthcare system.Speaking to media here, Harsimrat said there was no real governance in Punjab, only theatrics. She claimed that the pre-2022 election promise to give Rs 1,000 to women was merely a data-collection exercise, and even after four years, no one received the money. She accused the Punjab govt of misleading the public with repeated unfulfilled promises.

She was here to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple.On law and order, she said Punjab is effectively under the rule of gangsters, with daily incidents of murder, robbery, and extortion on the rise. Instead of apprehending actual criminals, the government is jailing innocent youth. She described initiatives like "Operation Prahar" as little more than media stunts and claimed that despite spending crores of rupees, not a single major gangster was caught. She also criticised the state's healthcare system, saying that the CM's Health Insurance Scheme and Mohalla Clinics are merely showpieces.
