Jhajjar admin to launch SIR campaign from June 15
Jhajjar: The Jhajjar administration will launch the special intensive revision (SIR) campaign from June 15, under which booth-level officers (BLOs) will conduct door-to-door visits across the district. Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Varsha Khangwal, who is also the district election officer, said the exercise would be carried out in strict accordance with the directions of the Election Commission of India and urged citizens as well as political parties to actively cooperate in the revision process.Khangwal said the revision exercise will be undertaken with July 1, 2026, as the qualifying date. Training of booth level agents (BLAs), BLOs and supervisors, along with the printing and distribution of forms, will be completed by June 14. Beginning June 15, BLOs will visit households across the four assembly constituencies — Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh, Badli and Beri — to distribute voter verification forms, which electors will be required to fill, sign and return during subsequent visits. The preliminary electoral rolls will be published on July 21, following which claims and objections can be filed until Aug 20. Authorities will dispose of all claims and objections by Sept 18, and the final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on Sept 22. MSID: 131508261 413 |
