Jagraon police have arrested a Pakistani spy, identified as Shahid Iqbal Bhatti, originally from Kasoor area of Pakistan, from near Halwara Air Force Station.

LUDHIANA: Jagraon police have arrested a Pakistani spy, identified as Shahid Iqbal Bhatti, originally from Kasoor area of Pakistan, from near Halwara Air Force Station here on Saturday.
Sources said the spy was living in Khalsa College Colony of Patiala under the name Dev Raj Sehgal. He was running a cyber cafe in Patiala at Leela Bhavan Chowk there.

He used to supply vital information to Pakistan from here and some important documents have also been recovered from him, police sources said.
Though tightlipped, police however confirmed the arrest. "We have arrested a spy and have also registered FIR against him. We cannot reveal anything more because of security reasons as many agencies are involved in the investigations. We will be holding a press conference on Sunday," said Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, SSP rural, Ludhiana.
On June 27, Jagraon police had arrested 3 terrorists and recovered explosives. A woman, Ranjit Kaur, was also arrested in June who used to supply information to Pakistan.
Police had revealed that the woman used to deliver money she brought from Pakistan to terrorists in different parts of the country.
