One killed, another hurt in bike collision

Chennai: One person was killed while another was injured after two motorcycles collided on the Maduravoyal bypass on Sunday night. The accident occurred when a bike travelling from Maduravoyal towards Puzhal was hit from behind by another two-wheeler moving in the same direction. Satish, 34, from Thiruverkadu died in the accident. Purushothaman, 21, a food delivery worker, sustained minor injuries and was admitted to a private hospital.Police from the Maduravoyal traffic investigation wing registered a case and are investigating the incident. The body was sent to Govt Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
