Exhibition on raw materials

Coimbatore: The second edition of raw materials exhibition ‘Raw Mat India 2022’ at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex between September 14 and 16 will bring together raw material dealers and the business community from Coimbatore and neighbouring districts.
The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association expects the fair to generate trade to the tune of 150 crore as the region is a major consumer of raw materials, inputs and services.
The event is expected to see participation of 88 companies from across the country and representatives from countries such as Japan, Europe, China, Taiwan and South Korea, chairman of the exhibition C B Senthil Kumar said. “The first edition, conducted in 2019, saw 8,000 visitors. While it could not be conducted due to Covid-19 pandemic in subsequent years, we expect around 10,000 visitors this time,” he said.
A range of plastic raw materials, non-ferrous metals, fasteners, packaging materials, billets, bars, mobile app solutions and business-to-business marketplaces will be on display.
“The exhibition will open up a range of raw materials to the business people. The business community will be in a better position to negotiate prices,” said Codissia president V Thirugnanam.
Chief of base repair depot of the Sulur Air Force Station air commodore K S S Sanjeeb will inaugurate the expo. Entry will be free.
