Dehradun: Tehri Lake festival-- Himalayan O₂ will be held from March 6 to 9 across various locations in Tehri Garhwal with special discounts for registered participants. The event is being jointly organised by district administration and Uttarakhand tourism development council to boost tourism.
Chief development officer Varuna Agarwal said local operators are offering 20% off hotels and homestays and upto 25% off water sports to registered participants. Activities include mountain biking, rock climbing, rafting and trekking in remote areas.

The festival will also showcase Uttarakhand's cultural heritage, featuring a Master Chef competition, fashion show of traditional attire and performances by local artists.
On March 6, Pandavaas Band will perform at Koti Colony, alongside a play on Veer Bhad Madhav Singh Bhandari.
District magistrate Nitika Khandelwal said the festival, considered Tehri's largest outdoor event, highlights strong public participation and collaboration between govt and local communities to promote Tehri as a premier tourism destination.
