NEW DELHI: In a hit and run incident, three people died and four were injured after a dumper allegedly hit an autorickshaw in outer Delhi’s Alipur.
The deceased have been identified as a 6-year-old minor girl and the autodriver, Raju Sharma (52). The third deceased is yet to be identified.
According to police, a call had been received at the Alipur police station early in the morning from near a temple. Cops rushed to the spot and found seven people in the autorickshaw were seriously injured. They were rushed to a nearby hospital, where the three were declared brought dead.
The injured have been identified as Mukesh, his wife Pinki, a nine-year-old boy and another passenger, Chotu Pandit (28). They have been referred to LNJP hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
A case has been registered. Police said CCTV footage is being analysed to trace and apprehend the accused.
