Police said that both of them had been smothered to death by someone known to them, as the entry into the house was friendly.

NEW DELHI: Two double murders rocked Delhi on Thursday. While in the first case, an insurance agent and his assistant were found murdered in their home at Shaheen Park in south Delhi, in the other incident, two labourers were stabbed to death in Dabri.
In the first case, the victims were identified as Akhtar Afindi (50) and Jamshed Alam (32). Akhtar was an ICICI Prudential agent and Jamshed was his assistant.

He had been living in Akhtar's home for the past six months. While Akhtar was found dead in the kitchen, Jamshed's body was found in the bathroom.
The two men had not been seen by the neighbours for the past two days. Around 12.30 pm on Thursday, one of the neighbours noticed the main door open and entered inside.
He found a lock on the kitchen and bathroom doors. He informed the police who broke open the locks. Akhtar was found dressed in his undergarments.
A police officer said that both of them had been smothered to death by someone known to them, as the entry into the house was friendly. "Going by the condition of the bodies, it seems they were killed two days ago. There was no sign of any ransacking," said DCP (south) Anil Shukla.
The police version has it that Akhtar had separated from his wife several years ago and started living alone. According to cops, Akhtar was a bisexual and was in a relationship with Jamshed. According to the cops, Akhtar also used to lend money.

In the other incident, a tenthouse owner and his employee were stabbed to death by six youths at a marriage function at Madhur Vihar in southwest Delhi. Sandeep Gupta, the owner, and his employee, Viresh Kumar, had been hired by one Kapileshwar for his daughter's wedding.
Around 11.30 am on Thursday, some youths forcibly entered one of the tents where some women were dancing. The women complained to Gupta, who got into an argument with the youths and forced them out with Kumar's help.
However, the youths came back with more men accompanying them and assaulted Gupta and Kumar. They were stabbed with an ice-cutter. Gupta's brother Raj Kumar was also stabbed but he survived. The police arrested six of the accused who were identified as Ali, Kishore, Imran, Pawan, Arun and Praveen.
19-yr-old strangled by husband: A 19-year-old woman was strangled by her husband at Samaypur Badli on Wednesday. Her husband, Naresh, has been arrested. According to the police, he called up Reena's brother Monu on Thursday and told him that his sister had fallen ill.
When Monu reached Naresh's home, he found Reena dead. According to cops, Reena was upset with Naresh as he was having an affair with his elder brother's sister-in-law.
