Ambala: LPG delivery man loses Rs 9,000 to snatchers

The Ambala police registered a case of snatching, after two motorcycle-borne miscreants targeted a LPG cylinder delivery man in Durga Nagar area of Ambala Sadar police station (PS) on Saturday.

AMBALA: The Ambala police registered a case of snatching, after two motorcycle-borne miscreants targeted a LPG cylinder delivery man in Durga Nagar area of Ambala Sadar police station (PS) on Saturday.
Sri Ram of Krishna Colony, Ambala City lodged a complaint with the police alleging that two miscreants snatched nearly Rs 9,000 which was collected as payment of 15 gas cylinders from consumers.

Sri stated to the police, “At around 3 pm on Saturday, when I was going to deliver LPG cylinder, two miscreants attacked me and snatched nearly Rs 9,000 from my pocket. They pushed me aside and fled on a motorcycle without a number plate.”
On this complaint, a case under Section 379-A (punishment for snatching) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against unknown accused.
The Ambala police officials told, “Some footage of CCTV cameras have been obtained from the area where the crime took place and efforts are being made to identify accused snatchers. They would be arrested soon.”
