Koppal: An advocate collapsed and died of a suspected heart attack while arguing a case before a judge at the Kushtagi JMFC court Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Ningappa Sudi, 50, a native of Tavaragera.
Sudi was presenting arguments when he suffered a cardiac arrest, collapsed in the courtroom and died. He is survived by his mother, wife, a son and a daughter.
He had been practising law at the Gangavathi court for the past 20 years. Apart from his legal career, he was actively involved in theatre, performing with various drama companies and in amateur plays.
Members of bar associations from Gangavathi, Kushtagi and other courts in the district expressed grief over his death.
