Tractor overturns, driver dies

Kalaburagi: An accident took place on Thursday near Bhimashappa Nagar, which is connected to the state highway of Shahabad city in Kalaburagi district, when a tractor loaded with stones overturned and the driver died on the spot. The deceased was identified as Mallappa Chandrama Pujari, 27, of Taranalli village in Shahabad taluk. According to police sources, the driver was trapped between the engine and the trolley when the tractor engine lifted while taking the tractor from the main road and the driver was caught between the engine and the trolley. Police personnel from Shahabad Town police station visited the incident site, conducted an investigation, registered a case and started an investigation.
