Telangana BJP Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri
Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind’s statement claiming Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy may switch sides and join the BJP in future much like West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, has triggered political chatter in the state.Predicting a political churning in Telangana in the next two years, the BJP leader slammed the Congress for choosing Revanth as leader over long-standing party members. He said the Congress is set to lose the 2028-29 assembly elections, much like its losses in 1985 and 1994 elections.Arvind’s remarks have come after Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Revanth ‘Mere hi saath judo’ (join me) recently at an event in Hyderabad. Revanth later clarified that not much should be read in PM’s remark.Arvind also said that the political activity in Telangana over the next two years will favour the BJP. Speaking to TOI, he said: "Revanth Reddy has never been loyal to the party. He is more loyal to his ex-bosses. I am hinting at possible negative developments in the Congress.”
