The 20-year-old complainant, who is a student of a B Pharmacy course in a city-based college, approached Jawaharnagar police on May 28 with a complaint against her classmate. She alleged that the accused befriended her and became intimate with a promise of marriage.

Later, when she told him that she had decided to part ways with him. The accused allegedly called her brother and told him about their relationship. “He asked my brother to give him Rs 3,000, and when my brother said no to that, the accused sent him my nude photo and threatened to circulate it among friends and family,” the victim alleged.
