Flesh trade: Film writer, 7 held in Hyderabad

Cyberabad police in India have arrested eight people for running a prostitution racket. The suspects are all from Bangladesh, and include a film writer and a man from Mumbai. The police say that the suspects were using different websites and operating WhatsApp groups to reach customers who hail from West Bengal, Mumbai, and Delhi. The arrested individuals include a woman from Bangladesh, a film writer from Mumbai, a man from Delhi, and four men from Bangladesh.

HYDERABAD: The anti-human trafficking team of Cyberabad police nabbed eight persons, including a film writer, for allegedly running a prostitution racket. Among the arrested was a woman from Bangladesh. Cyberabad police said the accused were using different websites and operating WhatsApp groups to reach customers, who hail from West Bengal, Mumbai and Delhi. Film writer Mohit Satpal Garg, Jai Saha, Zanwar Vishal, Mohammed Sohail Ahmed, Mohammed Khaleel, Muntha Srikanth and Mulla Nasrin from Bangladesh were among those arrested.“The accused were previously involved in Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act (PITA) cases under Madhapur and Gachibowli police station limits. Special teams had gone to Mumbai to arrest Mohit Satpal and Jai Saha,” police said. Officials seized 31 smart phones, two swiping machines, scanners and 25 debit cards. “The eight accused were arrested from different parts of the country for posting advertisements on websites, contacting customers by setting up call centres and WhatsApp groups, indulging in prostitution in hotels and collecting money,” police said.
