Let’s D-Stress: TOI to hold inaugural meet in Hyderabad today
Hyderabad: To promote digital well-being and mindful living among students, The Times of India is organising its national initiative ‘Let's D-Stress' at NALSAR University of Law.
The session, titled ‘Let's D-Stress: Campus Conversations', will be held at the NALSAR auditorium on Thursday, marking the first edition of the programme in Hyderabad.
The programme will feature Dr Charan Teja Koganti, consultant neuropsychiatrist at KIMS Hospitals and Jade Clinics, who will offer practical perspectives on managing excessive screen time and its cognitive impact.
The initiative aims to help students recognise patterns of excessive screen use, understand its effects on attention, memory and reasoning, and explore simple ways to restore balance. It is particularly relevant for law students dealing with intensive reading schedules and high-performance expectations.
Srikrishna Deva Rao, vice chancellor, NALSAR University of Law, said: "Law students today are uniquely burdened, they are trained to consume vast amounts of information and deliver results under high pressure. As young people, they are also exposed to far too much digital noise, from doomscrolling on social media to the screen time required simply to manage their course load. We recognise the cognitive impact of constant screen exposure on students' attention, memory and reasoning skills, which makes digital well-being an academic necessity, one we can no longer ignore. That is why we are glad to bring The Times of India's ‘Let's D-Stress' initiative to NALSAR, with its core focus on navigating these concerns through research-based insights."
