The accused fixed the price tag depending on the job post. Job-seekers were asked to pay Rs 10 lakh for accounts executive, administrative officer and tax inspector posts, Rs 9 lakh for senior tax assistant post, Rs 6 lakh for tax assistant post, Rs 4 lakh for multi-tasking staff and Rs 3 lakh for attender posts.
Till now, Satish earned about Rs 1 crore, Task Force officials said.
Seven cases have been registered against him in various police stations.
He used to give his victims fake allotment numbers to make them believe in him. When the victims used to ask for return of their money realising the fraud, Satish targeted others to collect money and return them.
Satish did his SSC but discontinued his studies after that. He took up a job at a garment store for some time. Later, he worked at the office of a chartered accountant as an attender, for which he used to be sent to meet income tax (IT) officials. It is there that he used to frequently visit the pan card section and meet the officials. He then, hatched a plan to cheat unemployed youths in the name of giving them I-T jobs.
