Minister surprises class 10 toppers with flight trip
Hyderabad: Roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday gave a “flight journey” surprise gift to class-10 meritorious students from govt schools in Thipparthi mandal of Nalgonda district. Earlier, during his visit to Thipparthi govt schools, the minister had promised students that those securing top marks in the SSC examinations would receive a special surprise gift.
Honouring that commitment, Komatireddy on Friday invited the toppers to his camp office at the ministers’ quarters in Hyderabad and felicitated them. He interacted with the students, discussing their future aspirations, higher education plans, and career goals. He assured them of full support for their higher studies and encouraged them to dream big, irrespective of their economic background.
As part of the surprise gift, the minister arranged a two-day Vizag–Araku Valley tour for the students, including air travel, a first-time experience for all of them. He handed over the flight tickets to the students and wished them a memorable journey. A total of 14 students will depart from Shamshabad Airport on Saturday morning for Visakhapatnam.
Arrangements have also been made for their stay in a three-star hotel. To ensure that the students face no inconvenience during the trip, teachers and members of the minister’s personal staff will accompany them. Recalling the response received for admissions at the Komatireddy Prateek Bottuguda Government High School in Nalgonda, built with advanced infrastructure and modern facilities, the minister said the institution reflects his commitment towards quality education.
