HYDERABAD: Rains continued to lash Hyderabad, throwing life out of gear in the city. Low-lying areas in several parts of the city were inundated with flood waters. Damaged roads and water logging led to huge traffic jams.
Several schools in Rangareddy district have declared a holiday today.
With rains creating havoc, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao reviewed the flood situation from Delhi where he is attending a meeting of apex council on water resources for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
CMs son and municipal administration and IT minister,
K T Rama Rao, too held a meeting with officials of the
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to take up necessary measures to improve the situation.
Meanwhile, the Met on Wednesday released fresh alerts for the day as the depression in Bay of Bengal is further strengthening.
