Row over washing of hands at Sarafa triggers late-night brawl
Indore: A scuffle broke out at Sarafa Chowpatty late Monday night when some water fell on food kept at a stall while some youths were washing hands.
According to police, some youths had stopped at a stall and were washing their hands when droplets fell on food items kept nearby. The issue led to an argument which escalated into a scuffle between the youths and vendor.
The altercation caused commotion at the crowded food street, drawing attention of other vendors and visitors. Several people stepped in to separate the groups, but the dispute continued until police arrived.
All involved in the fight were taken to Sarafa police station. Station in-charge Rajkumar Litoria said that FIRs were registered on complaints lodged by both sides. Some individuals were detained for questioning.
