Jaipur: The Badminton Championship organised under the banner of Shaheed Major Sankalp Yadav Memorial Khel Mahakumbh-3 concluded successfully here at DMR Sports Academy, with the participation of more than 250 players from Jaipur and surrounding region.
The annual tournament was inaugurated by Surendra Yadav, father of Shaheed Major Sankalp Yadav, along with
Manish Yadav, the popular MLA of Shahpura. Both dignitaries encouraged the participants and highlighted the importance of sports in shaping the future of youth.
In the senior men’s singles category, Priyanshu Jain claimed the gold medal after defeating
Kuldeep Singh in an exciting final.
In the Under-15 mixed doubles section, the pair of Daksh Yadav and Saket emerged victorious after a closely contested summit clash.
Meanwhile, in the Under-19 mixed doubles final, Kuldeep Singh and Shanvi defeated Daksh and Aaradhya Sharma to secure the championship title.
All the winners and runners-up were honored with cash prizes, medals, and mementos for their outstanding performances.
The guests were welcomed by Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Director of DMR Sports Academy, with traditional Rajasthani safas and mementos.
Among the distinguished attendees were Dr Rahul Katta, Rajat Gupta, Brijraj Singh Shekhawat, Poonia, Sanjay Kumawat, Dharmpal Yadav, Priyanshu, Kuldeep, and several other eminent personalities and sports enthusiasts.
The event aimed to promote sportsmanship among young athletes while honoring the legacy and sacrifice of Shaheed Major Sankalp Yadav through sporting excellence.
