Rajasthan education model gains national recognition
Jaipur: In the NITI Aayog report, ‘School Education System in India – Temporal Analysis and Policy Roadmap for Quality Enhancement’, Rajasthan’s school education initiatives of conducting a health survey and using artificial intelligence for learning have been upheld as ‘Good State Practices’.“The appreciation accorded by NITI Aayog in this report — specifically regarding the state’s innovations based on the integrated application of education, health, and technology — can be considered exemplary for other states,” said a release issued by the chief minister’s office on Wednesday. The report cites the state’s Shala Swasthya Parikshan Abhiyan and an AI-based assessment system implemented under the Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan, noting their role in improving student wellbeing and learning outcomes.According to NITI Aayog, Rajasthan’s technology-enabled health screening model has strengthened the integration of health and nutrition within schooling in line with NEP 2020. The report states that more than 75 lakh students were screened across more than 70 health parameters, covering vision, hearing, nutritional status, dental health, and physical fitness. The report further commends Rajasthan’s AI-based assessment framework, stating it helped more than 400,000 students address learning gaps and contributed to an 8%-10% annual improvement in learning levels. The “Padhai with AI” programme in Tonk district has also been cited for improved subject-wise results, including mathematics.
