Robbers loot State Bank of Rs 14.6 lakh

JAIPUR: Three months after a nationalized bank in Johri Bazaar was looted, a similar incident shocked the residents of Murilpura on Saturday. This time, too, it was a nationalized bank and one located less than 100 metres from the police station. Armed with a pistol, two unidentified persons robbed the State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur branch of Rs 14.61 lakh on Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place around 2.20 pm when two persons barged into the bank���s building, shouting at the bank employees and three customers.The duo pushed them into the store rooms. Branch manager Shiv Hare Sanwaria tried to lock himself in his chamber.
