Security guard found murdered at school in Neemrana; colleague detained
School Gardener Missing With Wife, Police Search On
Alwar: A security guard posted at a private school in Neemrana’s Japanese industrial area was found murdered Tuesday morning, triggering tension and protests by family members and villagers.
Police said they received information around 7am that a body was lying in the Japanese zone under Neemrana police station limits in Behror district. Neemrana Dy SP Charul Gupta said the deceased was identified as Subhash Nai (50), a resident of Bhungda Aheer, who worked as a security guard at the Holy Child School.
Preliminary investigation indicated Nai was on duty at the school gate Monday night and had a dispute with another guard. The other guard has been detained and is being questioned.
Police suspect Nai was killed after being struck on the head with a heavy object or iron rod. A forensic team visited the site and collected evidence. The body was sent for post-mortem at the Neemrana Community Health Centre mortuary and later handed over to the family.
Sources said CCTV cameras installed at the school gate had been non-functional for a long time, creating technical hurdles for investigators.
During the probe, police also learned of an ongoing dispute over the past two years involving the deceased, the detained guard, and a woman and her husband, who is said to be a gardener at the school. The gardener and his wife were reported missing from the premises after the murder, and police have dispatched a team to search for them.
No one was formally named an accused so far, and police said the investigation was continuing based on forensic findings, technical evidence and other facts.
Family members and villagers gathered at the school gate and protested, alleging the body was removed from the spot too quickly. They demanded a fair investigation and early disclosure in the case.
