Bail plea rejected

Kanpur: An additional sessions judge/ special court under the Pocso Act rejected the anticipatory bail plea of an accused, Rajeshwari Sengar, booked by the Economic Offence Investigation Organisation in a major investment fraud case.Special public prosecutor Bhawana Gupta told the court that an FIR alleged Rajeshwari and nine others were directors of a real estate company, which mobilised public funds through mass investment schemes without mandatory registration from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). tnn
