BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay, a former Calcutta High Court judge, was hospitalized in New Delhi on Saturday after reporting uneasiness. The 63-year-old is currently receiving treatment in the Critical Care Unit and is being closely monitored by a team of doctors.
NEW DELHI: BJP MP and former Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay was admitted to a private hospital here on Saturday after he complained of uneasiness, a hospital official said. The 63-year-old leader is currently undergoing treatment in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) and is under observation. “He felt some uneasiness and was brought to the hospital today. Several tests are being conducted to assess his condition. He is stable and under the supervision of a team of doctors,” the official added. Gangopadhyay had resigned from the Calcutta High Court in March last year. He later joined the BJP and won from the Tamluk Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal in the 2024 general elections.
