Kolkata: A day after BJP candidate Priyanka Tibrewal allegedly led a protest outside the residence of expelled Trinamool leader Sandipan Ghosh, rebel Trinamool legislators called chief minister Suvendu Adhikari and BJP’s state president Samik Bhattacharya “good” and urged the administration to take action against those accused in vandalism.Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Ritabrata Bandyopadhyay who went to Saha’s home on Friday said, “We feel that neither the CM nor the BJP state president will support such incidents. We request the administration to take proper action.” The expelled Trinamool leader termed the incident “shameful” and criticised Tibrewal for being part of it.“Tibrewal protested in front of Sandipan Saha’s house. This is shameful. We have filed a case against this incident at New Market PS,” he said. On Thursday, Tibrewal had led the protest outside Saha’s house, alleging that the rebel MLA and his father Swarna Kamal Saha, a Trinamool functionary, were involved in land grabbing and extortion. Ritabrata also expressed confidence in his party’s growing support, stating, “I will say only one thing, our numbers will keep increasing.”
