TMC seeks dist reports on defeat

Kolkata: Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee and national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday met the party's zilla parishad members at Kalighat and reiterated their commitment towards "protecting Bengal and ensuring a better tomorrow".District presidents have been asked to send written reports to Abhishek and former minister Chandrima Bhattacharya on possible reasons behind the defeat, including alleged sabotage by some party functionaries.TMC posted on X, "Our chairperson Mamata Banerjee and national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee met with our Zilla Parishad members at Kalighat. Together, we shall continue this fight for a better tomorrow and ensure that #Bengal is protected from these ruthless architects of division and violence."Birbhum core committee member Kajal Sk said workers were asked to work together to complete development projects undertaken by the Trinamool govt between 2011 and 2026 at the district level.
