To celebrate World Book Day on April 23, the Sutanuti Boimela Committee' on Friday started a two-day Grantha Parbon' on the Girish Mancha premises.

KOLKATA: To celebrate World Book Day on April 23, the Sutanuti Boimela Committee' on Friday started a two-day Grantha Parbon' on the Girish Mancha premises.
Guests at the inauguration included President's Award-winning artist Narayan Chandra Chakraborty and national library director Swapan Chakraborty, among others. There will be a rare exhibition of advertisements of old Bengali books, some books on display and discussions.
"The objective behind organising Grantha Parbon' is to raise people's interest in books throughout the year," said the book fair committee's general secretary, Suman Bhowmik.
